Questions Are The Answer

Questions are the answer when selling. If you ask the right questions, your potential clients will sell themselves on your products or services. You will not have to sell at all. How great is that?
So why are questions the answer? Why will questions do the selling for you?
Questions will do the selling for you provided you have the "Question 3-legged stool" in place.
The 3 legs are:
1. You ask the "right" questions
2. You actively listen to the answers (obvious I know, but not always followed)
3. You have the intent to help your potential client get what they want.
Just suppose you ask the right questions but don't listen to the answers? Do you think your potential client will want to buy from you? Just suppose you're great at listening and you really want to help your potential client, but you ask the wrong questions. Do you think they will want to buy from you? I hope you get the picture. In order for the questions to do the selling for you, you need all 3 legs of the "Question 3-legged stool" in place. Let's look more closely at the "right" questions leg.
The "right" questions leg involves several types of questions.
Initially you need to ask questions to uncover whether the potential client has any problems that you can solve. Once you know a potential client has a problem you can solve, it is very tempting to start talking about how you can solve it for them. If you leap in at this point with your solution, chances are they won't become your client. You now need to ask more questions.
Now you need to ask questions so they will explain to you (and themselves) what the impact would be both personally and professionally if they don't get their problem solved. Often you will find that your potential client has not really thought through the impact of not solving their problem. They will appreciate that you care enough to ask.
It's still not time to jump in with your solution and to tell them you have the answer. Resist the temptation. You still need to keep asking questions.
Now you need to ask what difference it would make to them (from both a professional and personal perspective) if they solved this problem. What do they see as the benefits? This is the point at which they will start to sell themselves. They know the impact of not solving the problem, and now they (not you) are telling themselves the benefits of solving it. Your questions have done the selling and they will now be very receptive to hearing how you can help. Now is the time to talk about your solution.
So questions do the selling because they are the vehicle you use to get your potential client to tell themselves all the benefits and results from solving their problem. Via your questions, they tell and sell themselves on why they want the problem solved and what difference it will make.
But remember, this only works if you are really listening to the answers and your intent is to help. Keep remembering and practicing the "Question 3-legged stool" and watch the impact on your sales conversations, your relationships and your results.

If you apply these five advanced article marketing tips you can create your own web traffic storm

Posting articles on article distribution sites is one of the latest methods that web site owners and SEO experts employ to get more and better quality traffic. Articles allow you to get multiple quality one-way links with a lost less effort and better results than link exchanges. By consistently applying the following tips you will increase you web site traffic.
Invest time in a great headline. A catchy headline that offers the reader a real benefit will draw readers and visitors. Use concrete and credible words that make the reader excited about reading the article. Words like “free’, “amazing” and “new” are often overused and are less likely to draw cynical readers.

Register with multiple article submission sites. The most time consuming part of article submission is the initial registration process with the article directories. Home Recording Studio How To Start

Regarding an inexpensive but effective Home Recording Studio, the first thing to do is to carefully go over your budget, because once you get going it will be the little bits and pieces that can nickel and dime you to death. Know how much you can safely spend without putting yourself into financial jeopardy. So many people talk about getting Financial Backers but that isn't always the best answer since they will often want the lion's share of any rewards plus interest until the debt is paid back in full. Backers are also very impatient about repayment and don't want to hear excuses as to why you had to pay your Rent before you pay them! When it comes to Bank loans, the Banks usually look at the Music Business as if it were smoke, something that you can see but cannot touch or hold in your hands.
They are very practical and cautious when it comes to giving out money for the Music Industry despite the incredible amount of money that is generated every year from it. Unless you have a lot of collateral to back such a loan, wait until you can show regular income from your initial endeavors first. Thinking big is fine, but starting out small and wisely is the best policy in putting together your own studio. The terms "Starving Artists" and "Starving Producers" come from the usual way of supplying your musical interests by means of a Day Job until you can wisely transition from one to the other. Almost everyone does it and there is no shame in admitting it. Only the most obnoxious of Industry Professional will criticize you for it.

The next subject to ponder is what you will use your home studio for. Is it for your own solo material, a Band, or are you planning to take on clients? Each situation can vary greatly depending upon the quality and workload you are seeking from your studio. As an example, I have worked, Managed, Recorded and Produced in 7 Recording Studios ranging from simple but effective equipment in a basement, all the way up to a current multi-million dollar Recording Facility here in Connecticut. Please note that as you move up in the degree of Studio you work in, your abilities, ears, and skills also need to improve dramatically! But the good thing is that if you start out small and determined to succeed, and keep an open mind to learning from others, you can eventually develop into whatever level you wish to as long as you can handle it. Recording Schools are invaluable for learning the Recording Industry, but they are not inexpensive, so you may wish to invest in books and videos about recording first. They can be purchased from many local Musical Instrument stores and national chains, including mail order.

Another option is to try to develop a relationship with someone experienced that can act as a Mentor, it can be invaluable to you and that person can help to further advance your career with their knowledge and influential assistance. The rule of thumb is that everyone in the business knows somebody else in the business at higher levels of power and success. But as with any Professional in any field of business, be respectful, honest, humble, tactful, and become an "invited guest" as opposed to a character that they will regret knowing! So after figuring out what level of experience you are at now and what you wish to use your studio for, it is time to start making a shopping list. If you are a beginner or even an experienced veteran, the best choices would be either a good home computer with lots of memory since there are many great programs that you can purchase along with the proper interface equipment, or purchase an all-in-one Recorder/Mixer/CD Burner unit. My suggestion is that when it comes to efficiency and cost effectiveness, the all-in-one units are outstanding and can create some wonderful results if you take your time to study and learn the functions, and then practice with them. The better ones are advisable and can range from approximately $800 to around $4000 to purchase. These units usually include extremely useful options and functions such as built in effects and editing programs, processors, mixers, and CD burners that can be very expensive if purchased separately. Since technology has improved so much over the years, these types of units can sound as if you recorded in a full blown recording studio. While they won't replace a Professional Recording Studio with all of the bells and whistles, not to mention seriously sound-proofed recording rooms, you can purchase and own the all-in-one units for much less than the cost of recording a full CD of songs in a major studio.

To give you an example of this, while I often work in a big studio, I have my own Roland all-in-one unit and record my own clients I Manage, Song write, and Produce music for on it. This way, I don't have to worry about paying for recording time costs or high utility bills that go hand in hand with a big studio. I can take as much time as I wish or that my clients need without watching the clock and can still get the results I want without the added pressures. Since I do know what I am doing and have a lot of experience recording and Producing, I recorded my Country Artist "Miss Marie" Wuhrer's first CD "Bad Reputation" on it and it received airplay in approximately 75% of the US and many Record Label inquiries to boot!!! So the all-in-one units can be quite cost effective while returning professional quality results, and they are also very portable if need be. Portability can be a major plus! The next issue on the list is to get some very good recording microphones and perhaps a few stage microphones for good measure. Consider a minimum of a vocal and an instrument microphone. The recording ones are Condenser microphones and they require phantom power to operate them, which is simply a low voltage power source from 9 to 18 volts. This can come from putting batteries in the microphone or is usually included in the all-in-one units as standard equipment power supplies. The stage microphones are called Dynamic microphones and just require connection to a preamp or mixer channel input. Never run phantom power on dynamic microphones or you could easily and quickly damage them or the power source itself. Remember, if you plug the microphone into the unit and it doesn't work in any of the channels as is, then you probably have a condenser microphone and must press the "phantom power" button to turn on the phantom power unit so the microphone will operate. Most decent condenser microphones have a Led light that comes on to show when it is in operation.

Condenser microphones are extremely sensitive and can pick up stray noises in the room so be careful when they are on during recording as to not have a very noisy environment you are working in. While it is crucial to "clean" your recorded tracks one-by-one of any stray sounds such as breathing noises BEFORE you mix them into the final result, there are times when you can't remove excessive noise and must accept it or do the track over. Keep it quiet around you and you will save yourself a lot of time and trouble. All microphones have sensitivity specs, and to avoid a lengthy explanation here and distortion when you are recording, look for a microphone that has a 40 decibel or higher rating for sensitivity. This way, if you have a loud singer you won't overdrive the microphone easily and get distortion in the vocal tracks. Next, you have to determine where you are going to record, especially if it is in your home. Most studios are in the basement areas and require deadening of the room to make it quiet for recording. When using an all-in-one unit, you can do most of your recording directly into the mixer/recorder without worrying about the noise you or others are making, it is all very quiet. This is especially true when using a drum machine instead of an actual Drummer and live drums! Except for vocals and live drums, you can record a full song in a bedroom while your family members or roommates are in other rooms and they won't even hear you doing it! If you do designate a specific area, your recording room should not get too hot or too cold, and dampness is not good for any electronic equipment so be careful. When going for the cheap but effective recording studio, you can put up heavy rugs on the walls or use other deadening material to quiet down the room accordingly. Whether you are making a formal recording studio or a simple one, always remember to use Non-flammable materials to deaden the room to avoid a potential disaster.
To continue with our list, I recommend getting good headphones for yourself and some spares for others to use, as well as a headphone amplifier that will run multiple sets of headphones. For the best results, you should use the same brand and model closed back headphones which are essential for recording with live microphones. Semi-open or open-backed headphones allow the sounds coming through to be picked up and fed back into the microphone and recorder. The more isolation the headphones offer the better. Last in the chain would be a pair of powered studio monitors for playback and mixing. The best ones have the Bass ports in the front so they can be used in any location if necessary. The ones with Bass ports in the rear require a reflex action off of a wall for sound quality and this may not be practical for a home studio. As with all of the equipment I mentioned, there are many good brands and models out there and the costs vary greatly. Be ringer, Samson, and Event make some great units for home studios, and the bigger the Bass speaker i.e.: 6 or 8 inches, the better the quality of the sound you'll get in final mixing and playback. I don't recommend getting subwoofers until you really know what you are doing and can get a great mix on regular speakers. If you cannot mix on regular speakers, then adding subwoofers won't help the final product and usually makes it sound horrible. And if while you are mixing your final product the dogs in your neighborhood are howling and running for cover, then Turn down the volume and back off on the Bass and high treble frequencies. If you blow out your hearing, it is gone forever. For optional equipment in your arsenal, a fairly inexpensive boom box is a great tool to have after making a mix. When I finish a mix of a song, I usually make both a CD and a cassette copy of it and play it on a good stereo, a cheap boom box, and a car radio just to see if it sounds good and fairly consistent for quality. If it sounds good on all of them, then I know that I have a good mix for the final product. I also have a separate stand alone CD burner that I can use to make copies while I am using the all-in-one unit for other songs and projects, rather than tying up the unit's built in CD Burner for making multiple copies other than a Master copy. They cost from $200 to $500 or more, but I find it invaluable for my needs.

Other than some patch cords, spare microphone cables, telescoping microphone stands, music stands, a good comfortable rolling chair, decorating your recording room to taste, and some blank CDs to put product on, you should be able to get some very good results with your projects at a reasonable cost with these recommendations. As your skills improve, you can always upgrade your equipment and studio to fit your needs and dreams. Think toward the future career you are seeking and not just for showing off! I've seen some very basic equipment outdo some much more expensive setups. The main goal is to concentrate on getting good results.
Besides, as you begin to make your fortune, you can hire professional studio designers and builders to create your dream Palace. And please don't forget to cover yourself legally if you are a Studio for hire. Write down ALL recording dates and notes about what transpired during them rather than relying on memory or hear-say, keep track of expenses compared to profits, and write down on the receipt you give the client that the final product is what he or she asked for and accepted as complete and both you and the client need to initial it. This is extremely important for every situation, but especially when a client wants to keep bad musicianship or singing on a project that you would never have kept yourself even if you were tone deaf! Once that client takes the product from you and lets friends and family criticize it accordingly, You will be blamed for letting it get out of your door like that and not the client for wanting it that way and refusing your subtle hints to change it during the recording session such as uncontrollable laughter or vomiting. If that client later chooses to sue you to get his or her money back and it goes before a Judge or Jury with NO Music Industry experience or taste, your note on the signed, dated and initialed may be all that saves you from getting ripped off and having to pay back what you legitimately earned. One of the things I love about internet marketing is the relationships
I have with people all over the globe. It's a lot like traveling, but
I get to stay in sunny Texas and "talk" to subscribers and customers
who are shoveling snow in Michigan, sitting around a wood

check their snow-tires, and go about their day.
Recently I received an email from another Texan. His question
sort of surprised me- "How much money should I put aside
for my e-book business?"
I had an e-book business for years before I realized that I had an "e-book business."
My strategy is to identify a need or find a way to solve a problem,
then package that solution and sell it. I write e-books, I
record audio courses, and lately I've been making video
courses.

First you need an ebook. Some people make this way too big a deal…
remember, most people are “newbies.” If you had to learn something,
odds are somebody else is having to learn it, too. Write about what
you learn.
You've got my book, "Effortless E-Books." It lists dozens of easy
ways to create an e-book.
You can write a list- for example, 69 ways to satisfy your husband...
or 144 ways to cook spinich...or 37 internet predictions.
"How to" books are easy, too. I like to learn something new, and then
"hammer home" that new knowledge by writing an e-book to
teach it to others. Teaching is a great way to learn.
Interview books are quick and painless. Call somebody on the phone
and interview them. Record the call. Have it transcribed. Bim-Bang-Boom,
you've got an e-book.

If that’s not your thing, go to www.elance.com and let the starving
web guys bid on the project. Should cost less than $50.
According to many pros, even if you can build a website yourself,
you're better off out-sourcing that and concentrating on creating
products. That's a lesson I'm still trying to learn.
You need a domain. Go to www.godaddy.com and buy one. They’re
about $8.
I collect domains. I own almost 40 now, and I'm still shopping. Every time
I think of (or over-hear) a great domain name, I run to godaddy.com and
register it.
When the time comes to market a new product, I go over my inventory
of domains- usually I have the perfect domain already registered. Then
I just forward that to my sales page- no hosting fee.
You need a clickbank account. That’s gonna run you $50. www.clickbank.com
It takes a little time to learn how to use clickbank, but it's worth it. They
handle the cash, send out affiliate checks when other people sell your
e-book, and mail you your money twice a month. It's a bargain.
At that point, you’ve got a product, a sales page, and a way to collect
the money and handle your affiliates.
The next step is to make money.
The most attractive way to do that is to do a Joint Venture with somebody
who has a huge list. The easiest way to do that is to have a relationship
with one of the gurus. They’re real human beings, and relatively harmless.
Get to know them.
How do you get to know them?
Seminars are the best way. Email works, too.

Indoor Gardening Plants

Eventually we are all given a house plant either as a gift or a plant from someone who is moving and can't take their plants with them, instantly giving you the basis for indoor gardening. Many times if you don't know how to care for it the plant will wither and die. Other times people start to care for the plant and suddenly become avid gardeners.



Indoor gardens are similar to outdoor gardens, it's just that you are caring for plants in your home instead of in your garden. A big plus to indoor gardening is that it can be enjoyed by people that live in the cities with no access to land. It is also a joyful hobby for people that are confined indoors. The real bonus is that they are healthy for us. Basically plants take in carbon dioxide and turn it into oxygen (photosynthesis) thereby purifying the air that we breath. So you have attractive plants with added benefits.



Indoor gardens are ideal for people that live in hard, cold climates or for someone who lives in a climate that gets searingly hot. With an indoor garden the gardener can manipulate the environment so that their plants thrive. If it is dreary, cold and grey wouldn't it be delightful to have gorgeous plants sprinkled around your home that not only add beauty but cheerfulness too?



After choosing the plants you wish to grow you must choose a container for it. You can opt for a small plant that can be placed on a counter or windowsill. Even a large evergreen in a big pot can be placed next to your door or in a sunny spot in the corner. You must make a plan for your indoor garden. Figure out where you want to place your indoor garden so you will know how much space you have for the plants. Once this is done you can choose the container and the plants you wish to grow. Don't forget to research the plants needs, like watering, sunlight and food before you go to the nursery center.



Once you have gathered all of your material you can start planting and arranging your indoor garden in your home. When arranging your garden be sure to put plant that needs bright sun near a window. Plants that just need indirect light should be put in a more comfortable spot of low or indirect sun for them. If you get this wrong you will be throwing out your plants and buying new ones.



Don't overlook planting an indoor herb garden especially if you like to cook. Herbs needs are four to six hours of sun per day and loose easily drained soil. They are pretty plants and will add zip to your meals.



If you have pets carefully choose your plants. Pets and plants must be able to cohabitate in your home peacefully. Some plants are toxic to animals. You have to be sure that your animal and the plant can live together. For instance, a tall plant may be seen as a scratching tool by cats or even a litter box. Cats have been known to wrap themselves around larger plants and snuggle in the warm dirt. Sometimes this can disturb the roots. One way to beat this is to put ornamental rocks or crushed seashells right on top of the soil.



You can have an indoor garden and enjoy all of the benefits of beautiful plants. Just do some research either at you local nursery or on the internet. What are you waiting for? Start planting.

It is only fair that that we repay the flowering plants, shrubs and trees for their tireless work they are about to embark on over the coming months by giving them the best care we can. This does not have to mean a great expense of money or time.

Try the following easy tips for your flowering gardens

Walk round and prune off dead, broken and damaged stems.
Do the same for any trees also raking up any fallen twigs.

Replace any dead plants (making sure they actually are dead and not still dormant)

Remember, Just the effort of dead heading flowering bulbs achieves a tidier garden and the bulb improves as the energy goes into enlargement instead of setting seed heads.

Hoe the garden to loosen the soil and remove any weeds

Add Fertilizer to feed the plants (But make sure its not to cold or wet and that the ground has started to warm up)
Chicken pellets are a good all round general fertilizer
Plants like Rhododendrons and azaleas will need feeding with an acid based fertilizer

For great flowering gardens summer bulbs and corms need planting now.
Remember to dig your holes wider and deeper than required to allow you to add a 50/50 mix of compost and sharp sand which will help to get the best out of your bulbs and improve your flowering gardens .

We must not forget about some lawn care as this is some peoples pride and joy, and even comes before plants.

This is the best time to scarify the lawns ready for the onslaught of the summer months.
What this means is you should be removing everything that is not grass such as moss and weeds.
This is best done by using a lawn or spring tine rake or if it is a large area you can buy or hire a scarifyer. (well worth it )
The easiest way to clear the mess up is run the lawnmower with a collector on over it.
As a side note - make sure you have cut the grass and it is dry, if not you could start to tear it out which is not very clever.

This is also the right time to aerate your lawns after scarifying.
This means you open up the ground to allow the soil to breath and allow water to penetrate.
Over the winter period the ground gets compacted with all the wet and people walking on it.
This is done by sticking a garden fork into the ground and penetrating the surface by up a couple of inches. You stand on the fork and move it back and forth if it is really hard. You then move forward a couple of inches and repeat the process, try to get in a rhythm and it will make it easier. When you reach the other end, turn round, move over a fork width and come back.(Wear good leather boots and do not jump on the fork as this could damage the sole of your foot)
Again you can purchase or hire a push along or motorised aerater

Do not weed and feed your lawn at this point until your lawn has time to recover about two or three weeks time. Also you should not feed your lawn until the frosts have gone and when you do, make sure you water it in if it dose not rain within a couple of days. (try not to walk on it until the fertilizer has dissolved as this can cause brown patches)

Create A Problem For The Reader Near the very beginning of your sales letter you need to create a problem for the reader and show that you understand their problem. This should be easy to do if you have done your research as I showed you to. You should know the exact problems your target market has. The key here is to generate enough interest, but not to give away too much about your offer. Intrigue will propel the reader through your sales message. Tell A Story So now you've hooked your reader in with a great headline and sub header, and a powerful understanding first paragraph. Next up you must make things even more personal by telling a story. Tell the story of how you came about to realise that there was a need for your product or service. Incorporate how you came across the problem and solved it. And then realised that there were "a ton of people out there just like me" who would need that problem solved too. By telling a story you: _ Help readers relate to you and show them why you understand their situation _ Make the story easier to read rather than a "heavy" letter _ You can also use the story to explain why you're offering your product so cheaply. Use a story near the beginning of your sales letter to make it compelling for the reader. Present A Solution To The Readers Problem (Answer Their Questions Of "Whats In It For Me?") So far you should have created a problem, gained the readers trust and showed them that you understand their problem. Next you must show the readers that you can provide them with a solution to their problem - quickly and easily. If they think your solution will take weeks and months they'll be less likely to make a purchase. An INSTANT solution is what they'll be looking for. So make sure they know that purchasing your product will provide them with this. You don't neccesarily have to explain exactly HOW your offer is a solution. But you should state that it IS the solution. Bullet points are a great way to do this. Benefits, benefits and more benefits! Next up you need to launch into a list of the benefits and features of your product. Here you should really start explaining how your product will solve the readers' problem. Part 2 You should be highlighting benefits throughout the sales letter. But here's where you must really start piling them on. You need to start creating real value for your product now and be pushing the reader towards the sale. If you can provide honest and high quality benefits you really can include as many as you've got. Pile On Incentives And Bonuses By this point if you have created your sales letter properly your reader will be convinced of the value of your product. But still may need a little convincing that your product is for them. So to sway a "maybe" into a "definately" you need to include bonus items and incentives in your offer. You want to show your customer that your bonuses add up to more than they are paying for the ebook itself. That way you can only calm any uneasyness they may feel about purchasing your product. What is writer's block? When your creativity hits a block wall! You’re fresh out of words! Your mind’s a blank. The page is a blank. There’s not one more thing you can say. Some small business owners who want to write about their business—whether in an article, brochure, or website—get stuck writing about themselves and so they hit a writer’s block. They just can’t put into words what they want to say about their business to promote it to their prospects.

Or sometimes they may think they know EXACTLY what they want to write, but as soon as that screen stares at them, their mind goes completely blank. Especially if there’s a deadline. The printer is waiting for the copy. There’s a trade show coming up and they need brochures. The website must be launched in time for the promotional launch.

Yacht charter in Croatia

Before planning a sailing trip to Croatia there are few things everyone should know in order to have nice and stress less vacation. Otherwise you can encounter some serious problems that could affect your holidays.
There are two main charter types - bareboat charter and crewed charter. For bareboat charter at least one person on the board must have a boat leader's license. The license must me issued by a state institution. If a license is certified by a foreign state institution the Croatian law accepts it in most cases. The license must be related to the sea and open waters and not to the rivers and channels. Law in Croatia does not accept any Sailing Club Certifications. Also at least one person on the board must have a VHF license. Usually boat leader's license exam covers the VHF part as well. In case none of the guest has such a qualifications then a skipper must be hired. For crewed charter no license is required. Depending on the yacht size, the crew usually consists of captain, hand man, cook, hostess...
In every way the usual charter week in Croatia starts on Saturday afternoon ( 3 pm to 5 pm ) and ends on Saturday morning ( 8 am to 10 am ). Some of the charter companies require to have the boat back from the charter to base marina on Friday afternoon. In this case guests are able to stay on board until Saturday morning. On Saturday can be very crowded in marinas since all charter companies have takeover of all their yachts on that day. Guests should be prepared and very patient keeping in mind that marina staff is doing their best. When taking the yacht ,it is not advised to get in marina much in advanced. There is just a slight chance that your boat will be ready and cleaned among the first boats that were in charter previous week. In case you are already early , it would be much better that you leave your luggage in marina and take a swim on a nearest beach.
Every yacht for charter in Croatia has Casco insurance. The charter companies ask for deposit to be left in base marina in amount of insurance franchise. Depending on the size of the yacht and insurance contract deposit goes from 500 EUR to 2500 EUR and can be paid in cash or by credit card. Credit card will be just slipped and not charged yet. In case the yacht is damaged the charter company will cover the damage from the deposit left by guest and the rest from the insurance company.
All charter companies in Croatia ask 30%-50% of rental payment at the moment of the booking and the rest at least 4 weeks prior to embarkation. In case of booking cancellation , in most cases the complete amount will be returned if the booking was canceled more than a month before charter. This is a part of general charter terms and conditions used by all charter companies in very similar form. Although, there are some differences between one charter company and another. So, it would be good to read the conditions at the moment of booking very carefully.
There are over 100 yacht charter companies and over 3000 yachts in Croatia and each one of them has its own price and terms. To find an ideal yacht for yourself one should contact every charter company asking for availability and prices. Here follows a very common example of General Charter Terms and Conditions in Croatia:
All bookings made with Charter Company are subject to the following Charter Terms and Conditions . No Agent or Employee of the Company is entitled to vary or amend it.
1. PAYMENT CONDITIONS
A boat has been booked only when the Booking Form and the agreed deposit have reached Charter company or one of its affiliates and when an Invoice stating the terms of the balance payment has been dispatched.
Payment of balance of the charter amount will become due 30 days before the charter start date, without
reminder on the part of the charter operator.
For all bookings made less than 30 days before the start date the charter fee must be paid in full on booking.
All bank charges will be payable by the Charterer.
Bookings made through Travel Agents are subject to agreed travel agency procedures regarding bookings and cancellations and to all the following Charter Conditions.
2. CANCELLATION
A. Cancellation by the Charterer
Should the hirer be unable to take-over the boat he must notify the Company immediately, when every effort will be made to re-let the boat. If successful, the Company will refund the deposit less a re-booking charge of 100 € .
If the company is unable to re-let, the following cancellation policy applies:
- Cancellation more than 60 days before the start of charter: 30% of the charter fee is retained by the company
- Cancellation between 31 and 59 days before the start of charter: 50% of the rental charge is retained by the company
- Cancellation within 30 days of the start of charter: the full amount has to be paid.
B. Cancellation by the Company
Every precaution will be taken to ensure that the booked boat is available in a fully seaworthy condition. If owing to conditions and circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Company this is not possible, then every effort will be made to supply a similar or suitable boat. Should this not be possible the Charter Fee paid by the Hirer will be returned in full but the Charterer will have no claim on any account against the Company.

3. EMBARKATION
The time of taking possession will normally be Saturday between 17.00 hrs and 21.00 hrs.
The Charterer will take charge of the boat after completion of certain formalities (security deposit, inventory
check), receipt of administrative documents and instructions in operation of the boat.
The Charterer will be required to sign the Check List. Signing implies that:
- The boat was handed over in a clean and tidy state
- The instruction was adequate
- The boat is in a satisfactory mechanical state with full fuel and water tanks
- The inventory has been checked and found satisfactory.
The Company reserves the right to decline a booking or to refuse to hand-over a boat to any person who, in their opinion, is not suitable to take charge on the grounds of ill-health, age, disability, inexperience or any other reason which, in their opinion, would lead to a serious risk of accident or damage. In such cases, Charter company will provide a competent skipper at Charterer’s expense. If the Charterer does not accept a skipper, the Charter Fee will be refunded in full and the Contract terminated without further liability on either party.

4. DISEMBARKATION
The boat must be returned to the originating Base of Embarkation at the time and date agreed, with full fuel and water tanks.
The hirer should plan a great enough margin for the return time to be respected.
Therefore, it is recommended to return the boat in the marina at 17.00 hours the day before the charter ends.
It is the responsibility of the Charterer to make allowance for bad weather.
Failure to return the boat on the due date will incur a charge of double daily rate plus any other charges of
incidental losses incurred by the Company.
The fuel tank and the water tanks have to be filled up before the check-out.

5. INSURANCE
The following insurance will be in full force during the term of the charter:
a) Hull Insurance is provided for total loss or damage to the cruiser and its equipment. Bareboat charterers
shall be responsible for the amount of protection provided from the security deposit. The Charterer, however, is responsible for any loss or damage or any other liabilities arising out of deliberate acts or negligent conduct by charterer, his or her family, guests and agents, in which event the sole responsibility for the entire amount of the loss or damage would fall on the charterer.
Damages on the sails are not covered by insurance.
b) Third Party Liability Insurance
c) Personal Accident Insurance - this insurance does not cover loss, damage or theft of personal luggage or belongings, including any motor vehicles parked at the marina.
The charterer is advised to take out personal travel insurance before departing.

6. SECURITY DEPOSIT
A refundable security deposit, which amount depends on the class of the boat, has to be paid before embarkation (cash, credit cards – Visa, Diners, MC, AC). The deposit has to be paid even when a skipper has been employed to captain the boat.
This deposit can be applied to the repair of damages or loss of equipment caused by charterer or by any of his party. It will be refunded provided that no reason exists for its retention.
Charterers returning or leaving a boat at a Marina different from the one from which they started – except by prior arrangement made with the Company – will lose their deposit.

7. ACCIDENTS, BREAKDOWNS AND REPAIRS
In the event of any accident or mishap the Charterer must immediately provide the Base Manager with full details together with the names and addresses of witnesses and the name of owners or charterers if another vessel is involved. The Base Manager will indicate the next steps to be taken. The Charterer is required to complete the accident report form and to have it completed and countersigned by the third party. In particular, lost dinghies and outboard engines must be reported immediately. Failure to notify the Base Manager of any loss, mishap or accident may invalidate the insurance.
The Base Manager must be notified immediately if any repairs or service are required and they may not be placed in the hands of other repair shops without the Base Manager’s specific approval.
If you have a breakdown of the equipment which is considered essential to the operation of the yacht and which occurs inside the 30 mile radius of the Company base, we will complete repairs within 24 hour of receiving your call. If we fail to correct the problem within 24 hours, you will be refunded on a rate pro-rata to the lost charter time or you will receive a sailing credit toward your next charter.
All other breakdowns will be serviced, but compensation will not be provided if repairs take more than 24 hours.

8. CHARTERER'S LIABILITY AND OBLIGATION
The Charterer shall pay any additional running expenses not included in the charter price: fuel expenses, tourist taxes and a mooring place outside the marina.
The Charterer shall use the boat for pleasure only. Charterer shall not assign this agreement or subcharter
without prior written consent of The Company. The boat shall not transport merchandise or carry passengers.
Passengers, other than those notified on the crew list, must not be carried on the boat.
The Charterer is explicitly liable for the boat in case any official authority confiscates it, due to inappropriate and illegal actions undertaken during the usage of the boat.
All passengers with the exception of any skipper or cook provided by the Company are considered guests from the Charterer. Charterer is responsible for the safety and well-being of chartrer and all guests.
Charterer shall avoid sailing area designated hazardous and should refrain from night sailing.
Charterer shall comply with all laws and regulations of the Croatia or of any other government within the
jurisdiction in which the boat may be at the time.
By signing the agreement, the Charterer certifies that he/she is competent to handle the boat and that the
Charterer has sufficient practical knowledge of seamanship, unless a Company approved skipper has been
employed to captain the boat for the entire charter period.
In accordance with the laws of the Republic of Croatia, the Charterer has to possess a valid license necessary for the navigation (Boat Leaders Certificate) and a radiophone certificate.

9. DISPUTES
The Charaterer is required to notify the Base Manager of any alleged shortcomings or problems with the boat immediately as they occur. No claim can be considered in respect of such alleged shortcomings if not notified as aforesaid.
Furthermore the Company will not investigate nor deal with complaints received later than one week after the termination of the Charter.

Show Quality Body Kits

There is a small difference in the outcome of a body kit installed for street use and a body kit installed for show use (less than 1/4 inch difference). In a previous article, "Body Kits - Installing Them Right Scores Major Style Points," we gave instructions on installing your body kit. Those instructions will give you a good, factory looking finished product. If you are interested in a show quality, perfect finish, these are the instructions for you! We will assume that the body kit has already been sanded and prepped for paint. Now, we are going to custom fit our aftermarket body kit to the vehicle using a technique called "bedding." To do this, we will apply body filler to the pieces we are installing and use the body filler to fill in the seams. Start by placing some masking tape over the area where the body kit meets the car. Now sand or grind the edge of the body kit to get a rough surface. Apply a good layer of body filler to the body kit using a quick setting body filler mixture. This is simply a mixture of body filler with a higher catalyst to filler ratio, and depending on the color of catalyst (usually blue or red) it will be a dark red or dark blue color. You want it to set in a matter of a few minutes, so once the body filler is added to the body kit, get it in place quickly and accurately. Place the body kit in its final position and hold securely for a few minutes. It may be wise to have some help with this. Once the filler is set and hardened, remove it from the car. Now check to see if the gap is completely filled in. If not, repeat the process until you are satisfied with the outcome. Then sand the body kit smooth by blending the body filler into the body kit. Once sanded, test the fit again. You may find you want to touch up some area, and if so, add a small layer of body filler and repeat the process again. Resand and retest. Now that it is prefect, remove the masking tape from the car. Drill your pilot holes for your rivets (they tend to not come loose and we recommend them over screws) and secure it in place with rivets. Once secured, the car is ready to be painted, and you will have a perfect fitting, show quality aftermarket body kit installation. Be warned. This is a time consuming endeavor, and should only be done by a competent installer. We still highly recommend a body shop install these body kits, but if you have the time and patience to do it right, go for it! Should I get 5.1 or 7.1 Surround sound?

What Do The Numbers Mean?
Simply put, each number represents the total number of speakers in the surround sound system.
For example a 5.1 surround sound would have:
(1) Center Channel speaker that you hear the characters talking through. (This is often placed on top , above or below your television.)
(2) Front speakers for left and right audio. (These are installed on either side of your tv) Imagine hearing all of the back ground music through these as well as the sound effects of the siren of a police car heading right at you.

HDCP, High –Bandwidth Digital Content Protection: Beginners Guide Background: High Definition digital video allows users to experience high resolution, near perfect video content. As more content is delivered digitally, the content creators are increasingly concerned with content piracy because digital content can be perfectly duplicated. Therefore anti-piracy safeguards such, as High Bandwidth Content Protection (HDCP) is necessary in order for original content creators to protect their assets. In this article we will touch on the key points of HDCP What is HDCP: High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection, HDCP, is an encryption scheme developed to defend against uncontrolled copying of digital content over high bandwidth digital interconnects such as DVI and the HDMI. The FCC approved HDCP as a "Digital Output Protection Technology" on August 4th, 2004. A HDCP protected system consists of: 1) HDCP transmitter (DVD player for example), 2) the digital interface (DVI or HDMI), and 3) the HDCP receiver (your display monitor). In brief, the content is encrypted at the transmitter and the signal is passed to the HDCP receiver (display) via the DDC lines (in essence an I2C bus) where it is decrypted before viewing. HDCP requires that both the transmitter and the receiver comply with standards. If either one does not comply, the video will not be displayed properly. Incidentally, HDCP does not apply to analog interface such as component video although component video can be used to display high definition video. Why should the consumer care about HDCP: It is highly recommended that consumers be aware of HDCP and purchase sets that are HDCP compliant. Here is why. It has been speculated that the two competing high definition DVD standards HD DVD, and BLUE RAY, due out in 2006 will only deliver full resolution on HDCP protected outputs such as HDMI or DVI. If true, then users must have a HDCP monitor in order to experience full resolution HD DVD technology. Therefore it is prudent for the consumer to select HDCP compliant displays so the display can be used with future applications. What is involved during a HDCP session: HDCP is a complicated process but can be broken down to 3 key functions: Authentication, Encryption, and Renewability Authentication: The first step before video is actually sent is for the HDCP transmitter to determine if the receiver is “authorized” to accept HDCP protected content. Stored in the PROM of each transmitter and receiver is an array of 40, 56-bit secret keys and a 40-bit entity called Key Selection Vector. Authentication requires that the transmitter and receiver pair exchange “secret keys” and key selection vectors. The keys are scrambled and never revealed. The math behind the encryption allows each half to calculate a resultant number, call it Rs, based on the key exchanges. The Rs value is then shared and compared. If the Rs value matches, the receiver is accepted as an authorized HDCP receiver and video transmission can start. Encryption/Transmission: Once authentication is completed, transmission of the video content can commence. To prevent an unauthorized receiver from receiving the content, the video data must be encrypted prior to transmission. At the transmitter end, the video data bits are exclusive-ored with a shared calculated number lets call it Rt ( Rt is similar to how Rs was calculated) and sent to the receiver. At the receiver end the encrypted data is again exclusive-ored with Rt. Since the XOR function is invertible, XORing with the same Rt at the receiver end will reveal the true unscrambled video bits. Incidentally, a new Rt value is calculated about every 2 second to prevent corruption due to hacking. Renewability: renewability futhur ensures that the private keys are not exposed to unauthorized users due to tampering. Conclusion: HDTV technology is changing rapidly. Content providers need to protect against piracy by implementing HDCP. HDCP and digital connection standards such as HDMI will become the de facto standard for digital video connections. Recent years have seen great progress in the standardisation of vocabulary and phrasing in technical documents, and a great deal of that progress is due to the increasing use of translation memories. You may have tried out some of the “on-line translation” systems available on the Internet. You will have seen that while it is often possible to understand more or less what the original text wanted to say, the language employed is usually not acceptable. You only have to translate a short text into a foreign language and then translate the result back into English to see what sort of a mess the translation is to the foreign reader. Translation memory has nothing to do with that sort of “on-line translation”. Translation memories are used to record accurate translations made by qualified translators, so that the next time the same words are used in the original text, the translation memory will automatically produce the same translation. This provides consistency of vocabulary and phrasing. Translation memories are used by translation agencies and freelancers for two purposes: 1.
